A Bankroll
My poor poor bankroll. It was looking good. I swear. But by playing ring games (yes, I know) I've managed to bleed it down to my last couplebucks. I haven't had any real success in the freerolls lately and I've been falling asleep too early to play the Ferguson's. I've had numerous top 70 finishes in freerolls, but can't quite seem to crack the money again.
Donkeys in the ring games have been crushing me. There's one jerkoff in particular. I was sitting in a .05/.10 game, folds around to me in middle position, I was holding AQ offsuit so I raised 4x BB. This jerkoff on the button raises all-in. I'd seen him do that 3 times previously and he never had a pair, he'd always done it with suited connectors. He actually busted himself all 3 times and rebought. So I called him. Of course, he shows AK. Stupid. The one time he had a hand is the time I call. So typical.
I guess what it all comes down to is I have no idea what a good hand is in short handed ring games. I've seen all sorts of ppl playing weird shit. J9, K8, Q4, etc.
Maybe I should read a book on this or something. Ring games are killing me. They've raped my bankroll. In the two Ferguson's I played I did ok, finished 151st in one (Won $1.47) and around 200th in the other. I need to start cashing in these freerolls / Ferguson's though before I'm back to 0. Ultimately I want to start playing higher limit guarantee games. There looks like there are some good 5+.50 guarantees with good prize pools. Of course, as with all the other games, you really have to finish in the top 6 to get great money.
